Welcome to the Special Operations Command
Unified Combatant Command charged with overseeing the various Special Operations Commands (SOC or SOCOM) of the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps of the United States Armed Forces. The command is part of the Department of Defense. USSOCOM is headquartered at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.

SOCOM which uses Arma 2 as its dedicated game conducts missions using players from around the world with global performance in combat areas and has proven the value of a mature, culturally attuned, properly equipped, and and adaptive Special Operations Force (SOF).

Each branch has a Special Operations Command that is unique and capable of running its own operations, but when the different Special Operations Forces work together for an overall operation, SOCOM becomes the joint component command of the operation

UNSUNG MOD
SOCOM has officially added the Unsung Vietnam Mod for Armed Assault. SOCOM is now recruiting members for its Green Beret "MIKEFORCE". The vietnam special forces group that consisted of U.S. Green berets, Australian SAS and Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers. These members will work in the Unsung mod and begin to develop and specialize in "JUNGLE WARFARE". This type of warfare has previously been unknown in arma simulation and training and tactics will be created to use in this mod primarily in Adversarial Mode. In Co-Op mode, while good for training, AI have an overly advantageous position, where as using this in Adversial mode will bring the playing field to and even keel promoting game justice. Looking forward for to all people interested in Jungle Warfare to join us in the MIKE Force for the UNSUNG mod with Armed Assault

Socom Bounty
Heads up Ladies!! This month General Mudd has placed a bounty on his head for 100 points and a bronze star decoration if you can take him out in the "Unsung" Vietnam mod fore Armed Assault. This is close quarter extreme soldiers so be prepared to have your family letters written before enterign the hot zone. Saddle up !
