These procedures have been set down to avoid any/all problems that may occur. These procedures will be followed to the letter. We reserve the right to change or adjust the following procedures as new circumstances arise.
• All requests for changes, repairs, ideas, or add-ons to a division webpage must be submitted to the division upper CoC (CNO, VCNO, DCNO, CG, XO, CiNC). If the change, repair, idea, or add-on has been accepted by the division CoC it will then be sent to the web department. The Web Department will then make time to make the change, repair, or add-on as soon as possible depending on the priority level assigned to your request. All priority levels are determined by the DWD and DDWD.
• Division Administrative privileges will be given by the CNO, VCNO, DCNO, CG, XO or CiNC. The CNO, VCNO, DCNO, CG, XO or CiNC will then email the Web Department and the Web Department will then set those privileges in accordance to the CNO, VCNO, DCNO, CG, XO or CiNC emailed request. (new system is being designed to give the CNOs/CGs full control)
• The DWD-SW, DDWD-SW, Division Web Officer (divisional FTP only), DSPR-SW (Anchor FTP only), COS-SW, and the FADM are the only ones within SeaWolves that have FTP and MySQL access to the SeaWolves Web Server. In addition to the above listed members of SeaWolves, addition members may be given FTP access only at the discretion of the DWD. Each Division has a web officer that is suggested by the CNO or CG and approved by the DWD and DDWD. The Web Officer will then assist the DDWD and/or the DWD in repairs, changes, and/or add-ons to Division Web Page only.
• To be a Divisional Web Officer you must know HTML and have a basic understanding of PHP.
• It is not the responsibility of the web department to build and design Fleet Web Pages, Squadron Web Pages, and/or Company Web Pages. Because we are very busy normally in the web department you may ask the web department for assistance and a level of priority will be assigned to your request which is determined by the DWD and DDWD.
• Removal of members from the division is done by any member that has been given admin access of the division. The only way a member can be removed is if an email of resignation is sent to the CNO, VCNO, DCNO, CG, XO or CiNC of the division requesting within the email to also be removed from the web site. AT NO POINT CAN A MEMBER OF THE WEB DEPARTMENT REMOVE A MEMBER FROM THE WEBPAGES.
• The forums are controlled by the Web Department with the assistance of the COS-SW. The division sections of the forums are controlled only by the CNOs, VCNOs, DCNOs, CGs, XOs, and CiNCs of the division. The only ones that have administrative rights to the forums is the DWD-SW, DDWD-SW, COS-SW (later to be decided by the FADM and COS Division CNO, CG, XO)
